There are 2 main consumer reporting agencies (CRAs) in Canada – Equifax and TransUnion.
They have different ways of working out your score and can sometimes use information from different providers.
Your TransUnion score
ClearScore gets your credit score and reports from TransUnion. Depending on the date of your report, there could be slight differences in the score we have and the one TransUnion has.
Providers can use any of the 2 consumer reporting agencies to check your credit score in Canada. It’s best you check your score and report with all of them, to make sure everything is right.
The credit score ranges across the agencies are:
- Equifax: 300-900
- TransUnion: 300-900
