You can update your address in ClearScore from the My account section of the app.
Go to My account
Find the Current address section
Select Update
Choose your address from the drop-down list
Your ClearScore address will update immediately once you select the correct address.
Why your address might not appear in the list
Your address options come from your TransUnion credit report, and we use Google Maps to help find addresses.
If your address isn’t showing in the drop-down, it usually means:
• Your lenders or providers haven’t updated your address yet
• TransUnion hasn’t linked the address to your credit file yet
• The address is very new and not yet recognised by Google Maps
What you can do
1. Update your address with your providers
Make sure your address is updated with the organisations you have accounts with, such as:
• banks
• credit card providers
• loan or financing providers
These organisations report your address information to TransUnion.
Once they update it, the address can appear on your credit report and then become available in your ClearScore address list.
2. Allow time for your credit report to update
After your providers update your address, it can take a few weeks for TransUnion to update your credit report.
Once the address appears on your credit report, it should then appear in your ClearScore account.
3. Check Google Maps
We use Google Maps to find addresses in the drop-down menu.
If you live in a new development or recently added property, your address may not appear yet.
You can search for your address on Google Maps. If it isn’t listed, you can suggest an edit to Google so it can be added.
Once the address appears on Google Maps, try updating your address again in your ClearScore account.
If your address still doesn’t appear
If your address is correct with your providers and appears on your credit report but still doesn’t show in ClearScore, contact us through the chat in the Help Centre and we’ll take a look.
Quebec addresses
ClearScore currently doesn’t offer services in Quebec, so addresses in this province won’t appear in the drop-down.
